Dara grew up between Albuquerque, NM and Yellowstone National Park, where her parents worked seasonally during the summer. Having been lucky enough to have one of world’s most ecologically diverse places as a playground while growing up, she developed a strong connection to wild places. This connection to wild places is a major common thread in her professional and personal life.

In addition to her deep love of the the outdoors, she has a wide range of interests including personal finances, community building, sewing, and practical fash-un (lol).
